A Promising Endurance Debut for Rafael Duran at the 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi

Rafael Duran successfully launched his 2026 endurance racing campaign at the 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi, completing his debut event in the 24H Series with a strong and encouraging performance alongside Dinamic GT.

Held at the Yas Marina Circuit, the season-opening round proved to be a demanding challenge for teams and drivers alike. After qualifying P11 in the GT3 AM class, the team knew there was work to do, but remained confident in the car’s pace and race potential.

The six-hour race itself was heavily impacted by numerous Code 60 periods, fragmenting the rhythm and making strategy and consistency key factors. Despite these interruptions, Dinamic GT executed a clean and focused race, steadily working their way up the order.

Making his endurance debut in a new series, new team, and new car, Duran delivered a strong personal stint, showing competitive pace and the ability to gain positions in a highly contested field.

“It was a real weekend of learning,” said Duran. “Everything was new, but I felt really good during my stint and managed to make up several positions. The pace was there, and working with the team and my teammates was a great experience.”

After six hours of intense racing, the Dinamic GT crew crossed the line P5 in the GT3 AM class, securing a solid result to open the season despite the challenging race conditions.

Beyond the final classification, the Abu Dhabi round provided valuable mileage and experience for Duran, while laying strong foundations with his new team and teammates. With momentum building and confidence growing, focus now shifts immediately to the next major challenge on the calendar.

With no time to rest, Rafael Duran and Dinamic GT now turn their attention to the 24 Hours of Dubai, where the young Spanish-American driver will face his biggest endurance test yet in one of the most iconic events of the season.
